Club Distance Championships

Entries are now being accepted for 2012 Club Distance Championships.

The closing date for entries is 15th June 2012.
Swimming Sessions Cancellations

Due to Holidays and Leisure Centre closures, there will be no swimming sessions on the following dates:

Monday 4th June
Tuesday 5th June

Evening Swimming only is also cancelled on the following dates:

Sunday 13th May
Sunday 3rd June*

Morning swimming will run as follows:

8-9am Blue Squad
9-10am Red Squad
8-10am Black Squad

(* Sessions will run as follows:
8:30 - 9:15am Blue Squad
9:15 - 10am Red Squad
8:30 - 10am Black Squad)

There will be NO Green Group sessions on 6.5.12 and 3.6.12.

On the other dates, Green Group will run as normal.

North Midlands Swim Camp

Congratulations to Simon Corbishley, Josh Priestman and Michael Goodby for being chosen to represent the Cheshire County as part of the Junior team at a upcoming Inter-County Gala.


Congratulations to Ben Legge and Ellie Jones who have been awarded the Frank Leech Memorial Trophies for the National Arena League 2012.

Fundraising

To help fund raising we have signed up to easyfundraising, this allows the club to generate much need fund's by members searching the web via there search engine, or using the site for online shopping.

All you need to do to is sign up as a member of easyfundraising and every time you purchase from their website, the club will get a donation from easyfundraising.

National/Regional Squad (Black National/Regional)
Our coaching programme provides structured sessions for children from the FUNdamental stage– (basic movement literacy) up to swimmers who have reached national standard.

Once involved in one of our competitive “squad swimming programmes” they will embraces the principles of the Long Term Athlete Development (LTAD) - principles that provide a clear ‘swimmer pathway’ to enable children and young people to progress to their full swimming potential.

LTAD is a sport’s development framework that is based on human growth and development.

As with all our squads, swimmers will follow the principles of LTAD in line with their age and ability. During this stage swimmers will develop the skills and conditioning in line with their current ability to compete at county through to national level.

8 sessions (including 50m pool session)


Swimmers in this group must maintain a minimum attendance level of at least 85% sessions per month which should include one early morning, Wednesday, both Sunday sessions when available and the Friday night land training.

Club Championships

All members of this squad are expected to participate in regular open competitions (in events which are highlighted by the Head Coach) and team galas when they are selected.
Swimmers who join black National/Regional squad must maintain a minimum of 85% of sessions a month.
Athletes in this squad must work with the Head Coach in addressing a range of common stressors relating to training, competition and recovery.
 
Swimmers who move in to the Black National Regional squad but do not maintain the standard required maybe asked to return to the Black County Squad or to move to the Club Squad.
